Love in the wilderness

My lover spoke and said to me, "Arise, my darling, my beautiful one, and come with me. See! The winter is past; the rains are over and gone. Flowers appear on the earth; the season of singing has come, the cooing of doves is heard in our land. The fig tree forms its early fruit; the blossoming vines spread their fragrance. Arise, come, my darling; my beautiful one, come with me." (Song of Songs 2:10-13)

Charissa's Song of Songs

My soul is consumed with longing for you; I have been waiting for you all my life. It’s you I seek; it’s you I long to be with My soul yearns deeply as my heart cries out. Come my lover, come to me. It is time and now is. Heavens shall open and shine on you In the light of eternity, I will know – it’s you. Never has there been anyone like you, Never will there be anyone like you. You and I are destined to be together Forever we shall stay as one. Have I seen your eyes? Do I know your heart? Let me feel your heartbeat Let me know you’re near. Walk with me; And I shall follow thee. Dance and sing As love becomes more than a melody. Sing to me and I will answer thee; With a recitative in the key of D. I hear you call my name Your voice enchants all of me. Here I am waiting Passionately for that day. When vows are exchanged, Our love and life are set ablaze. Then I will embrace a new name; Then I am yours forever. Stay closely with Love, Till our hearts entwine as one.

The Mystery of Marriage

Quoting from Mike Mason's book The Mystery of Marriage: Real love is always fated. It has been arranged before time. It is the most meticulously prepared of coincidences. And fate, of course, is simply a secular term for the will of God, and coincidence for His grace (Mason in Joshua Harris, Boy Meets Girl , pp 219-220). This passage reminds me of God's blue-print, the master plan that He has in His hands. Much as human beings have disrupted God's master plan; it does not disrupt Him. His plan still proceeds. Truth will still reign. God is still God of the past, present and future. Resting in the knowledge of God's divine plan is the best thing to do. As Elisabeth Elliot phrase it: It’s a relief to know that there is a divine design. And this knowledge is the secret of serenity. I truly trust in His divine plan, as my heart is His, I will watch Him cross two paths at just the right time...
